What if I should break down?
In the event of a breakdown we are unable to support you, we suggest that at least one of your members has some mechanical knowledge and all teams carry a small tool set and a spare wheel. All teams must have European breakdown cover as its is your responsibility to ensure you and your car are not left stranded somewhere in Europe.
Where can I buy a car for £200 from?
Ebay, ebay ebay. No we are not just addicted to typing ebay there are a multitude of cars available cheap, whether it’s an old fiesta or a Ford transit van you can get pretty much any car. When buying a car ensure it has all the legal documents and a MOT, if it doesn’t have a MOT you must make sure that it can obtain one, as all vehicles entering the rally must be UK road legal.
Can I modify my car?
Yes absolutely, in fact we encourage it. You may wish to decorate your car and make it look like the Batmobile which then enters you for the best decorated car award. Or you could simply give it a set of new spark plugs and fresh engine oil to increase its chances of completing the challenge.
All modifications must be road legal any teams with non road legal modifications will not be permitted to enter the rally. To see a list of non legal modifications click here.
Can we decorate or gain corporate sponsorship for our team?
There will be competition held for the best decorated car. If you want a chance of winning it then team decoration is essential. Alternatively if you are entering a team from a company you may wish to get corporate sponsorship and have the car decorated in your company branding. The rally will be filmed and featured in local newspapers receiving PR from start to finish.
Please note all decoration must be above board and anything deemed offensive will not be allowed to participate in the rally.
